I expected a better product

I was excited to receive my new recliner. The chair came in one box 110lbs. Assembly is super easy, anyone can do it. The material is soft and smooth. The chair is mostly comfortable except the headrest is flat and the leg rest is short. I'm 5' 10" and my feet hang off. The seat width has a large amount of space, which is great. When the recline handle is pulled the foot rest snaps out making a loud bang. It's less of a concern if you push your feet against the rest before pulling the handle. It's just not smooth. When the recliner is in the full recline position it's hard not to close your eyes and drift off.

I love the fabric I love how easy it was to put together no tools needed. Extremely comfortable but firm. And it glides like a dream I love love love it
After you sit in this chair for a short time it was too uncomfortable. It's too firm and I could not get it to open and close. Being 66 I gave the tear away because once I got it open I could not get it to close. I would not recommend
The only problem is I am sure and disabled and its very hard to fold back up when youre sitting in it

My wife and I have been wanting to replace our existing couch and lounge chair with ottoman in our living room for quite a while now. The lounge chair and ottoman took up a lot of room and my wife wanted to replace it with a recliner so it would have a smaller foot print in the living room.

When the opportunity to get this new Noble House Hawthorne Steel Fabric Glider Recliner popped up my wife jumped all over it. Now that we have had it for a few days we love it! I sat in it last night while watching a movie and promptly went to sleep so you know its a great recliner ;o) We both also like the fact that this recliner is a glider also. We used to have a wooden teak glider on our front porch at our old house and there is something very comforting about "gliding".

The one slight drawback so far is that it seems to be a little difficult to push in the foot rest and get it to lock when you are switching from being fully reclined to the normal position. It may just be because of it being brand new and needs to be broken in a little though. This recliner is also a little on the firm side but it may be like that just because it's brand new. I'm hoping it gets a little softer over time.

The one other thing we noticed right away is that this recliner is wider then our other recliner by quite a bit. I measured it with a tape measure and it is 23" wide in the seating area which is actually quite nice. I don't know if you have any pets in your home but when our little Chihuahua wants to jump on the recliner and snuggle she always want to be up against my left hip and there was no room in our other recliner so we both ended up being uncomfortable. This recliner has so much room now that she can lay perfectly flat and we can both get a nice nap now ;o)

This recliner also seems to be shorter in the back then our other recliner. At first I was worried that my shoulders and neck wouldn't be supported but it ended up being perfect and I'm 6 ft tall. My wife likes it because she is able to stand behind the recliner and drape her arms around my neck and she's only 5'-2".

With the name of "steel" in the description of this recliner my wife and I thought it would be gray in color but it is more of a slate blue than gray. My wife now says she just needs to find a new couch that matches the recliner and she will be happy.

After putting the recliner together I promptly went to Home Depot and bought a package of those 2-1/8" carpet sliders and stuck them on the bottom of the recliner (see attached pictures). This way when my wife wants to move the recliner to vacuum under it it will move with ease. If you haven't used these before I highly recommend them. They were less than $5 and well worth the money.

All in all we are very, very happy with our new glider recliner. If you are looking for a new recliner this Hawthorne glider recliner is just about perfect. Buy one you can't go wrong.

Awful chair! I bought 2 of them and left them in the boxes because I was moving. First of all they’re more blue than grey so they don’t match my couch. I can’t sig in the chairs- they recline, but then continuously try to sit up so I have to literally sit and push into it to keep it reclining. It’s also very short, I’m 5 feet 5 inches tall and the footrest hits about 3 inches above my ankles. These were too expensive to be so useless and uncomfortable
