The Classic cat eye look can never go out of style. However, the current makeup trend doing the rounds is the reverse cat eye makeup. The reverse cat eye look is as fierce as the winged eyeliner; it’s just inverted that focuses attention on the lower lash line. The result of this eye trend is absolutely stunning. It accentuates the eyes giving it a smoky, sultry and sexy look.

What Is A Reverse Cat Eye?

The reverse cat eye is an upside-down version of the traditional winged eyeliner look. Instead of only applying eyeliner to your upper lash line, you also place it along the lower lash line. As for the wing, it pretty much stays the same.

How To Master This Look?
Whether you are a pro at getting the eyeliner right or not, recreating the reverse cat eye is surprisingly simple. All you need is an eyeliner pencil, blending brush and a flat brush

Step 1: First, prep the eye area using an eye or skin primer on the upper and lower eye area. Apply a black eyeliner to your waterline and draw a wing going towards the inner corner of your eyes where the tear ducts are.

Step 2: Extend that inner corner, and then wing it out on the outer corner. Try to keep it in the water line. Grab a blending brush and smoke out the edges. You can add more eyeshadow to intensify the look.

Step 3: The next step is to take a flat brush with some eye shadow and diffuse the edges. This will add definition to your reverse cat eye. Finish the look by applying coats of mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

Reverse cat eye is a modern take on the classic cat eye. You can try this out for a night out with friends, date with your partner or a party instead of the regular cat eye look. Play around with different colour shades to amplify your look. Another reason to love this trend is that it works for all eye shapes and is easy to apply.
