2/4Despite the surfer-girl inspiration, hairstylist Garren steered clear of salt spray. "When you're that blonde, you don't want your hair to look dry and stiff," he said. Instead, he used a lightweight hair oil for natural separation. Here, photographer Patrick Demarchelier captures an intimate portrait of Roberts.
3/4Allure creative director Paul Cavaco cinched the back of Roberts's top with a safety pin while Garren touched up her hair between photographs.
4/4Makeup artist Hung Vanngo warmed Roberts's fair skin with liquid bronzer and applied a sheer bronze lipstick. He rubbed on a peachy-gold cream blush and, on the tops of her cheekbones, champagne highlighter.
